Almost 2 years and 6 months!

My goodness, I NEVER thought having 2 "babies" would be so much work! This month, Lilee will be 2 years old! WOW! Lincoln just reached his 6 month mark and we're exhausted! :o) Really enjoying the age Lilee is coming into, since she is soooo curious about everything and consistently surprises us with words she happens to pick up.

On our way to church today, she said, "uh-pane, uh-pane". 'Huh?', I thought? 'What's that?' I asked her again and she pointed up and said, "pie"... seconds passed before I repeated, "airplane in the sky?" She responds with her typical assurance of "uh-huh!" I love it!

Health wise, nothing has changed. She is as active as ever and cracks us up by wanting to jump around in her (now, her brother's) johnny jump up. She spins like a top. I see ice skating lessons in the future!

Last weekend, we went to a bonified country pumpkin patch (Dodasa Farms in Burson) to play. Got some great shots, I thought I'd share. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and looking forward to giving more great updates! Love to all!

Baby Boy Update

video

Greetings Everyone!

Well, our new little addition is now officially 3 months old and is another bright spot in our lives. This is a video I took today, because he was in such a cute mood. He is a dream of a baby. Really easy and relaxed, which is so nice, since our little Lilee bean is a busy (almost) 2 year old. WOW, I've never been so tired! However, they are such joys! Lincoln continues to grow rapidly everyday. He is already 16 lbs. When I tell people how old he is, reactions are funny. They don't believe that this big boy is only 3 months. Ha!

Lilee is developing quite a personality, as well. At 21 months, she's putting words together and beginning to almost reason with us why she should have a cookie and one more cup of juice before dinner. She's in the video background making sure she's being heard! :o)

I'm currently working on our first ever 2 kiddo video montage, but life is a little faster with 2 kids, so it takes me twice as long.

LILEE'S HEART UPDATE: On July 16th, we took Lilee for her ultrasound check up. After reviewing the ultrasound, Dr. Juris said that there is still NO CHANGE in her heart graft. Yea! In the past, we wait 3-4 months between appointments. This time, he said we don't need to come back for 6 months! Hallelujah! How cool! So, we'll get through the rest of this year and the holidays with no heart check ups... Merry Christmas! :oD

Thanks for keeping tabs on the Finches and as always, thanks for your prayers! Love to you all!

Announcing The Finches

Well, it's taken me FOREVER to update the blog... I'm sorry. For the faithful few that still actually check, here's our new little guy: Lincoln Paul! He was born April 15 at 11:04 pm at 8.3 lbs, 19 inches... he's precious and is a ton of fun.

None of us are really sleeping all that well yet, which I hope ends soon, but other than that, I'm getting the hang of having 2 kids at home and all the juggling that comes with more laundry, more feeding/napping schedules and TWICE the diaper changes! YIKES!

Thank you for keeping up with us and meet him in person, for those of you we hardly see (ahem, you Georgians).

All our love,
The sleepy Finches

Something to Celebrate!

To the faithful who keep checking this blog: THANK YOU!
Here we are, almost 4 months after my last post with more GREAT news! On Feb. 18th, we had Lilee's cardiologist check-up to see if her heart is still working well since her surgery.
Funny thing. We've been through a very intense process with Lilee and her heart issues, met a lot of doctors and nurses, filled out endless paperwork and STILL get nervous watching her cardiologist inspect her. My pulse is pounding and I'm watching every twitch of the dr's eyelash, hoping to read any report- good or bad!
Why is it that no matter what amazing lesson we learn under stressful circumstances, no matter how great a breakthrough with the Lord, we can immediately revert back to doubting at the first sign of trouble? God is so good, continuing to show His faithfulness, no matter how long ago Lilee's surgery occured.
After reviewing her heart ultrasound, Dr. Juris said there wasn't any change since her last appointment and that her heart looks good. He wants to see us again in 4 months (June). I like to think we'll be more spiritually mature and handle the appointment with more ease. Like I said, God is good and He is faithful whether I retain my life lesson or not. Obviously, we're not looking forward to the day that Dr. Juris says she ready for another surgery, however, God will be the same God then as He has been and as He is now.
Stay tuned. I'll be posting a new video soon. We love you all and continue to value your support, prayer and diligence in reading our blog.
All our love,
Erin, Chris and Lilee Finch
p.s. baby boy Finch (Lincoln Paul) will be coming soon. April 12th (Easter Sunday) he should be here!!! Oh my goodness!
