One Step Closer to HOME!

   Today was a day full of "ups"!!! Lilee woke up determined to keep working forward from yesterday's accomplishments.  Beginning with a walk around the PICU loop, the morning had her scheduled to have her drainage tubes removed from her chest. After mom and dad swapped duties (Chris takes the night shift and Erin is on duty for the days) her nurses came in and the tubes came out (ouch!). With a little help from Uncle Morphine, Lilee was a brave soldier that knew this was her fight for the day... and she rocked it. From there, it's been a pretty slow day "filled" with walks, lunch, medications, repeat. 

   The best news of the day came when her surgeon came by to pay her a visit around 4:00 this afternoon. He said she's doing so well that she is scheduled to go home TOMORROW AFTERNOON! Yay! She feels really good and says she feels strong enough to head home. We are amazed that surgery was just a few days ago. Thank you again to the Lord and to Lilee's faithful prayer warriors, for continuing to lift her up. She has been in His hands every step of the way. Looking forward to posting a picture of Lilee getting in the car tomorrow and busting out of this joint! :o) Till then, good night and God bless!
